Over eight weeks we’ll cover the essentials of working with clay — from hand-building and wheel-throwing to glazing. Each session builds on the last, giving you the chance to experiment and practice.

Week 1: Pinch & Coil
Get to know clay by making simple pinch pots and coiled forms — perfect for bowls, vases, and experimenting with shapes.

Week 2: Slabs
Learn how to roll out slabs and join them to build boxes, cylinders, or anything with flat sides.

Weeks 3–7: Throwing on the Wheel
We’ll spend these weeks on the wheel — starting with centering clay and pulling cylinders, then moving on to cups, bowls, plates, and trimming. You’ll get plenty of practice to build confidence.

Week 8: Glazing
Finish off your pieces with color and shine — we’ll go over dipping, brushing, and decoration before everything gets fired
